Who We Are and What We Believe

The District was formed in 1996 after being part of other parishes for most of its history. We have two churches: St Michael’s in Greenhithe and Holy Cross in Albany.

The Priest in Charge is Richard Vialoux who began his ministry with us in February 2007 after careers in Teaching and the Police.

Our mission statement is: ‘We Gather to Worship and Scatter for Service.’ We are committed to working within the community and reflecting the way Christ worked in the world.

As we are a Christian community we endeavour to celebrate the gifts of life that God gives.

Baptisms and Naming ceremonies are two ways that we as a community celebrate new life.

Important relationships also need to be recognised and we offer the ceremony of Marriage as well as the blessing of those already committed together for life.

Remembering, celebrating and saying farewell to those who have departed this earth is essential as part of our grief process. Funerals, burials, cremations and the scattering of ashes are all offered at AGAMD.

We would like to help you to encounter the Living God.
